hBar Solutions is a young dynamic company with the mission of making molecular and materials modeling more widely used in R&D both in industry and at universities. hBar Solutions offers services and solutions for modeling of molecules and materials in the form of consultancy and contract research. Moreover, hBar Solutions is working on an innovative web service: hBar Lab, which makes it possible to perform state-of-the-art molecular and materials modeling without a major initial investment.
hBar Solutions started operations in 2008, and is headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark. The founders of hBar Solutions are scientists with internationally recognized experience in the field of computer modeling of molecules and materials. This experience is obtained from both university and industry research.
Founders
Davide Ricci, Ph.D, MBA
Dr. Davide Ricci received his Ph.D. in Materials Science (Solid State
Physics) from Universita Milano-Bicocca, Italy. Davide has since then
worked as a consultant for Chelidon Consulting and as a post doctoral
researcher at Department of Physics, GeorgiaTech, U.S.A. Before
co-founding hBar Solutions, Davide worked at Atomistix A/S as a
research scientist and scientific application specialist. In 2009,
Davide graduated with an MBA from Copenhagen Business School. Davide
is also the author of more than 15 scientific publications and
reviewer of international journals.
Thomas H. Rod, Ph.D.
Dr. Thomas H. Rod received his Ph.D. in physics from Technical University of Denmark (DTU) followed by post doctoral positions at Department of Molecular Biology at The Scripps Research Institute, U.S.A. and at Department of Theoretical Chemistry at Lund University, Sweden. Thomas is the author of more than 20 scientific publications and reviewer of international journals. Prior to founding hBar Solutions, Thomas worked for Atomistix A/S, where he had various responsibilities, including product management and cooperation with external research partners.
